Within 2 days the rubber separated from the metal on the ear but itself due to the low-quality rubbery plastic that is used that doesnt have enough if any flex, no force was applied when they broke, they are just brittle. You do need to place it right so you dont pull your rack over if you keep your rack unweighted (mine doesnt have weights attached to it).
