Exactly as I had envisioned! We clean the surface, made sure it was dry and put it back on, and yes we cleaned the suction pad too. I wasn’t expecting top of the line and was completely disappointed with what I got, just wish they would have lasted longer than a few months. Sturdy: holds multiple jackets, hats, necklaces, etc. My husband had begun to wear his outdoor shoes inside. Got them for less than half the regular price, but definitely worth the full price if I had to pay it. This shoes should not be valued for more than $20 due to this defect.
