5 though because they are sort of long so I think if I went up too much it would slip off the back of my heel. The bottom balls pull away from the face of the mantle. There were not any other major imperfections, though there was a tiny bit of glue visible at the seam near the footbed of one shoe. I feel like this is the closest youll get to how things are supposed to sound, as they should probably be the standard in audio. I can see the glue on the seams and I highly doubt it will last me a solid 5 yrs like my Converse. Anyway, these are a great replacement - no as good as the former, but they definitely hold their own. I have just received this product also, so time will actually tell the durability. I tightened these large screws, adjusted the smaller screw on resistance piece so that the tire was touching the roller, and proceeded to ride. Not 24 inches. Not sure what people were talking about, re too tight on their feet and cutting into their toes etc.
